Not Demons/Undead my Ass!
As a Paladin I rely upon Exorcism pretty heavily for a part of my DPS, especially in the demon filled outlands. But recently, over time I have found a few mobs that simply just piss me off because they don't count as demons or undead.
Darkened Spirits in Nagrand for a quest line, these things are ridiculously hard to solo because they don't HAVE an enemy type, even though they'd most definitely fall under the category of 'Undead'. Also, those little 'Shadowfiend' looking guys in Arcatraz/Botanica/etc. If they aren't demons what the hell are they supposed to be? Another beef is the giant Metroid Eyeball thing in Blood Furnace... he's a Humanoid... are you shitting me?! Giant floating eyeball with tentacles... I don't see much Human about that, but whatever. The final one on my list isn't exactly not exorcismable, but maybe I'm missing something, Netherspite is classified as a 'Demon', but honestly he looks more like he'd be an 'Undead' to me... am I missing something in the lore? IS there something in the lore that explains this?
I'm sure there are a few others I have missed to complain about, maybe even some on Azeroth, if you know of any feel free to leave a comment pointing these dastardly bastards out.

I have the problem that I tend to attempt to use the spell on anything that's vaguely demonic or undead. Hellboars? They look demonic. (A hellboar is a beast, while a hound version is a demon.) Necromancers -raise- the dead, and cultists consort with demons. Sometimes elementals kind of look like spirits. Oozes, they have skulls in them. I agree, though, some of the monsters seem to have been a little carelessly classified.
I know just what you're talking about. It's quite annoying to not be able to exorcism most of the mobs you come across because Blizzard is lazy in type setting.
Not quite on topic, but in the same vein of "surprising monster categories". I always found it funny as a hunter to have "Track Dragonkin" active when wandering into the Stormwind throne room. Shining as a little red dot on my mini-map would be "Lady Katrina Prestor" aka Onyxia :) OMG, Spoiler Alert!
