BBQ Pictures pt. 1

Overall, you guys probably won't understand most of the inside jokes and what not, but I figured you'd enjoy seeing my 'unaltered' photos from the BBQ I went to last month. I'll probably be posting more as the days go by.

The girls were having a vagina party inside the living room apparently. I'm not exactly sure what a Vagina party is, but obviously Wolfsoul was invited.

I think somebody spiked the punch or something because my vision was really blurry.

Evi, like all great mages, couldn't control her ability to start critting people for massive damage.

OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!

Things got a little hectic, apparently Archaeus wasn't using his Perception racial because immediately after this picture he was ganked by Arilaw.

Like the mighty Grom Hellscream, even Wolfsoul fell prey to the bloodlust at the BBQ.

There was little doubt at the BBQ when it came down to figuring out who was Keldath.

Ovatha felt less embarrassed after he realized all his fellow shaman came in costume as well.

OR

When questioned Kolaghaz informed everyone that Ghostwalka let him borrow his Troll ears.

OR

Everyone felt a little less nerdy after they realized Lelek crafted his own Mangina suit out of chainmail.

During the Rogue photoshoot, Valkors had to give away his identity as Sylvina the Paladin while bubbling out of a potential ass grab from Arilaw.

WARNING THE FOLLOW PHOTO WILL CAUSE DRAMA AS IT'S THE BIGGEST SCANDAL IN BLACKFANG HISTORY!

Holy Tanking pt. 1

Well, I want to talk a bit about tanking as a Holy Paladin, as it's extremely doable, I'd like to think my current spec for Sylvina (check the armory profile) is more than equipped to do this for non-heroic 5-mans and even some off-tanking in Karazhan. However, I do want to touch on something in my last article real quick:

- Stupid Ogre Spirits for Ogri'la Pre-Req aren't exorcismable.
- Stupid Balnazaar in Stratholme is a Humanoid.
- Stupid Demon Hunters in SMV are Humanoids.

What I've noticed is that Blizzard doesn't have dynamic monster types, if a monster turns undead or demon they're still considered a human, which is really lame for Paladins since they have many abilities that focus on undead primarily.

Tanking Part:

Okay here's the tanking part, nothing fancy at the moment, and nothing too in-depth. I just want to break some things down for how a Holy Paladin tanks.

- Pull with Holy Shock

- Spam Consecrate as much as possible, you won't have Holy Shield or that fancy pants blessing.

- Use Kings on yourself, you'll need the extra +STA.

- Tank with Concentration Aura, since you're Holy spec, you should be able to spot heal yourself as necessary while tanking.

- Don't be afraid to use Lay on Hands, especially if you have the talent points in it.

Off-Topic:

My Shockadin topic got mentioned on WoWInsider's 'The Light and How to Swing It', yay, I feel special. Thanks again for asking me questions guys!

Not Demons/Undead my Ass!

As a Paladin I rely upon Exorcism pretty heavily for a part of my DPS, especially in the demon filled outlands. But recently, over time I have found a few mobs that simply just piss me off because they don't count as demons or undead.

Darkened Spirits in Nagrand for a quest line, these things are ridiculously hard to solo because they don't HAVE an enemy type, even though they'd most definitely fall under the category of 'Undead'. Also, those little 'Shadowfiend' looking guys in Arcatraz/Botanica/etc. If they aren't demons what the hell are they supposed to be? Another beef is the giant Metroid Eyeball thing in Blood Furnace... he's a Humanoid... are you shitting me?! Giant floating eyeball with tentacles... I don't see much Human about that, but whatever. The final one on my list isn't exactly not exorcismable, but maybe I'm missing something, Netherspite is classified as a 'Demon', but honestly he looks more like he'd be an 'Undead' to me... am I missing something in the lore? IS there something in the lore that explains this?

I'm sure there are a few others I have missed to complain about, maybe even some on Azeroth, if you know of any feel free to leave a comment pointing these dastardly bastards out.

Clinically Wiitarded

So, out of curiosity everyone might be wondering where I've been lately. Well, I've been very busy with real life, and outside of that I just got my hands on my Wii within the last week. If you're interested in checking out some good reviews of Wii related materials and other such things from yours truly please do head on over to Clincally Wiitarded.

On the WoW side of things It's been going fairly well, I just haven't had anything major to write about, although the changes to some of the paladin buffs do indeed irk me. If you are unaware of some of the changes:

- Blessing of Freedom recieved a minor talent nerf due to Arena.
- Blessing of sacrifice recieved a major cooldown nerf due to Arena.

On the plus side of things:

- 5 minute buffs will now be 15 minute buffs.
- 15 minute buffs will now be 30 minute buffs.

Yarrrrr!

Just a quick update, I am now Admiral Sylvina Solaris of the Bloodsail Buccaneers! I managed to get a group with a 70 Frost Mage named Wasilu, and we managed to slaughter the heck out of the goblins at a much faster pace. I also am helping a Paladin named Forseseaus with his grind, so I expect to be Revered with the Bloodsails sometime soon!

The Girlfriend Chronicles: Temporary Hold

Currently I'm single, it's kind of up in the air what the future holds, but we're still friends. So, instead of turning this into an angsty LiveJournal post I just figured I'd inform you all in case you were curious how that particular mission was going. However, I'm still trying to persuade her into WoW as her friend now, so instead of Girlfriend Chronicles it can be thought of 'The Non-WoW Playing Female' chronicles or something of that sort.

The Booty Bay Massacre

It's July 4th, everyone is celebrating and the fireworks are an amazing sight. But, wait, what is that showering down upon the denizens of Booty Bay? It surely isn't the sparkles of fireworks. Oh my! It's blood! Gallons upon gallons of blood rains down upon the festive azerothians, high above them upon walkways is none other than Sylvina Solaris future Admiral of the Bloodsails carving out the hearts and decapitating the ugly heads off of the money hungry goblins.

Well, with that little story aside, it was July 4th, and I noticed all the goblin guards were sleeping (with the exception of 3 by one of the auctioneers, they caught me off guard). So, while Booty Bay was a hot zone of PvP, I decided to star grinding out my Bloodsail reputation. If you check out my photo gallery you will notice everything from piles of corpses, to PvP combat, to giant groups of people slaying the goblins. In fact, I started a trend/fad, as both alliance and horde took out their frustrations upon the money stealing goblins (have you ever seen the cut they take from the auctions?!) There was everything from compliments, to questions, to plain out telling me to go DIAF (Die in a Fire), I even think I was reported to the GMs for 'griefing', it was a great time indeed!

By the end of the night I was hostile with the Bloodsails and 100% hated by Booty Bay, currently I'm unfriendly and have had a few dance parties amidst groups wiping to the Bloodsails. I plan to be neutral by the end of the night and if not, then by Monday at least have friendly. YARRRRRRRRR! Shiver me timbers, and then some!

Contests

I'm gone for the weekend, and I find out I'm 2nd place in two contests! That's neat!

I won 2nd place in the caption contest this week, which was really difficult to come up with an answer for. I think the gryphon/wyvern action in the background is funnier than the actual symbols part of the picture.

I'm also in the voting for the 'It Came from the Blog' tabard contest. Hoorah for Design skills! I should've used the in-game screenshot to show it off better, but, ohwell.

Side-Note: Pssssst... vote for me! Actually, vote for your favorite tabard, but if mine happens to be your favorite, all the better! ^_^
